A POEM FOR A FRIEND

When I close my eyes
And look at you I see
A little child who wants to play

If I could
I would give you
All the toys you want

But I know
These toys
Will not make you happy

If I could
I would give you
All the love you want

But I am too selfish
A conditioned soul
Just like you

If I could

All the protection you want

But my arms are weak
And my mind
Is restless

But what is the use
When people will forget
Very shortly

So what can I give you
